Malik Evans Wins Second Term as Rochester Mayor

ROCHESTER, N.Y. — Today, voters overwhelmingly selected Mayor Malik D. Evans to serve a second term as Mayor of the City of Rochester.

“Tonight marks not just a victory, but a renewed promise to Rochester’s future,” Mayor Evans said to a crowd of supporters Tuesday night. “I am deeply honored by the trust voters have placed in me to continue advancing our collective vision of a safer, stronger, and more vibrant Rochester.”

Since first taking office in January 2022, Mayor Evans has led major initiatives in housing, youth engagement, financial empowerment, strong neighborhoods, public safety, and violence reduction.

His administration has successfully partnered with public and private partners across local, regional, state and federal organizations, and has remained steadfastly focused on making progress and remaining resilient in the face of federal uncertainty.

His campaign focused on continuing that momentum, with a platform centered on steady leadership and experience moving Rochester forward.
